Milagros Tolón, who currently serves as the mayor of Toledo and is seeking re-election, met on Friday with the president of the Toledo Business Federation (Fedeto), Javier de Antonio, as well as members of the organization’s board of directors. During the meeting, Tolón outlined her main proposals for Economic Promotion if she is elected for another term. Specifically, she pledged to «streamline all administrative management» related to the processing of licenses and permits, and to establish an Office for the Attraction of Investments, Companies, and Congresses that would facilitate business opportunities for self-employed individuals, SMEs, and companies, as well as encourage the creation of quality employment. Tolón emphasized that the future of the city depends on the development of the Municipal Plan, along with the infrastructure that will be implemented to improve communication. In this vein, she also proposed the creation of the Toledo Sports Palace, which would be connected to the New Palomarejos project. In addition, she has plans to expand and improve sports facilities available throughout the city’s various neighborhoods, among other initiatives.
